Jerez Festival is about to start

Like every year San Gines Winery, part of the regulatory board  Of Jerez Shery Wines, hosts the presses conferences before the opening of Jerez Festival which will open tomorrow counting with many shows in diferent stages.

Hosted by Isamay Benavemente, Villamarta Theatre Director and with the colaboration of Antonio Real, Culture, Tourism and festivities municipal delegate, the press conference took place also with the participation of Blanca del Rey, Laura Rozalem, Marcos Flores and Inmaculada del Moral, the artists that will open the festival. They have presented 'las cinco estaciones' (The Five Seasons). Blanca del Rey stated that 'despite I am retired, Paco Lopez's strenght made me beeing here today'. On a diferente stage, Olga Pericet and Marcos Flores will pay tribute to iconic couples like 'Cristina Hoyos y Antonio Gades, Rosario and Antonio but with 'no aim of copying or caricaturing them but to give proof of their spirit on the stages.'

Sinergy as a plastic experience

The artistic space Sala Paul will be the scene of a very new experience based on the plastic interpretation of the different 'palos', forms os flamenco. The painter Gonzalo Conradi will draw on a mural his feelings when hearing the cante (singing) of Andrés de Jerez and the toque (guitar playing) of Carlos Grilo.
This first work is an original idea of Miguel Gonzalez intending to create a 'third space divided between painting and 'cante jondo'; the flamenco singing.
